Queen Maxima's Inaugural Dress by Jan Taminiau

What a magical day it is to day! We, the Dutch, said thank you and farewell to our wonderful Queen Beatrix and warmly welcomed our new King Willem-Alexander and his Queen Maxima.



The inauguration ceremony was like a true fairytale full of real life Princes and Princesses. I'm so glad I was able to see this. I've included a little clip of the new King and Queen entering the New Church for the inaugural ceremony here.

The dress worn by Queen Maxima is absolutely spectacular. It is both stately and fairytalish at the same time. Truly wonderful! The dress was made by Dutch designer Jan Taminiau, whose designs have previously been worn by people like Beyonce and Lady Gaga.

I'm really big fan of mister Taminiau's works and I believe our new Queen could not have made a better choice when she picked him to design her inaugural dress. So, hurray for the King, the Queen and Jan Taminiau!! Go take a look at his website here.
