Looks of the Moment

I love to just endlessly browse trough catwalk and street style photo's on www.vogue.co.uk. Their edits are amazing. Often I save pictures from their site to make little collages for myself to determine the looks I will try go for in the coming months, when my wallet permits me. Below you can find a little selection I made this month.

Happy 2015! May you learn and love to your heart's content. At the start of a new year it's time for a quick lookback to 2014, it's time for last year's favourites. I picked 4 categories: fashion, hair, beauty, paper (books+stationary). If you think you know something I need to try for next year, please let me know in the comments!

Uyghur prints; being accidentally fashionable

This year I went on holiday to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China. One of my stops in China was Kashgar an oasis city west of the Taklamakan dessert which is mainly populated by Uyghur people. There I had an unexpected fashion moment.

Saving Money and Saving Lives: Wardrobe overhaul and conscious shopping. (Contains graphic images)

I've always like classic pieces and looks that were a bit minimal. The Breton Stripe top for me is a Holy Grail piece. However, I often find my self seduced by that cute dress, catchy top or crazy printed leggings. These usually end up being a waste of money- getting stuffed somewhere in the back of my closet, never worn.

10 Fashion Styling Tips for Petites

I’m a short girl. Except for some impracticalities I’m usually not really aware of it. So, I don’t really care about my height and don’t try to make myself look taller. The Wedge Sneaker Conundrum

The Wedge Sneaker, I don't know what to make of it... I absolutely love the concept! I'm super short, so whatever makes me taller, I love it! But sometimes I see someone wearing a wedged sneaker and I think OMG if a guy sees you walking and doesn't realise you have a concealed wedge in your shoe he's gonna think: "Mmm, she walks a bit weird, maybe something is wrong with her feet..." And besides the men I talked about these shoes with all thought they were NOT sexy.

So, do I love ´m or not... I´m gonna give it a proper think!
