Real Bohemian Trends

Usually I don't expect to come across exciting trends on my trips to Central and Eastern Europe. Often the trends there are roughly the same as in Western Europe. Sometimes they are a bit behind, sometimes they just differ slightly, all in all, not much to rave about.

So, on my Xmas trip to Prague (Bohemia, Czech Republic) I was expecting a beautiful city, but not so much people wearing beautiful clothes. With the winters being harsher further inland in Europe I was pleasantly surprised to see how gracefully Prague's women dealt with the cold and snow.

Many ladies were wearing classic brown leather boots (like the Jimmy Choo boots in the image below), which gave them a high-end country and effortless stylish look. They often combine the boots with tucked-in jeans, but they could just as easily be combined with a skirt for a more feminine look.

So if Central Europe makes you think high-heels, think again! Sturdy boots are the way to go!

  1. Agree, those or "horse riding" style always looks so chic.
