Every third Tuesday in
September the reigning monarch of the Netherlands (currently King Willem-Alexander) addresses a joint session of the Dutch Senate and House
of Representatives in
the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) in The Hague.
The Speech |
The Speech
sets out the main
features of government policy for the coming parliamentary
session. This day is called Prinsjesdag (English: Prince's Day) and comes with a lot of ceremony and rich tradition.

Queen Maxima looked amazing on her first Prinsjesdag as a queen! She wore a dress by Jan Taminiau like she did when she was crowned queen. See that amazing dress here.
Isn't she gorgeous?!
